Contemporary Aquamarine Inspiration Ring
This ring has gotten a lot of attention on social media so I wanted to tell you about its origins.
I found the stone when I first started making jewelry in 2004. I decided back then to use techniques that did not use chemicals or fire so that meant no longer working directly with lost wax casting or using a torch as I did in my earlier days. We do a lot of stringing, knotting and wire wrapping!
Recently, a young goldsmith joined our team- her jewelry bench standing ready to interpret my designs, so this beautiful stone came out of hiding! The end result is a one of a kind 14k gold ring with a center stone of aquamarine and side stones in white topaz.
For me making a custom piece is always a collaboration with my client, culminating in a meaningful, personal piece of jewelry and hopefully a lasting friendship as well. We love what we do and try to make it a unique experience.
